A Personal Invitation

As the paster of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, I have the privilege of serving among many wonderful people who genuinely love the Lord. The Friendship family loves one another, and we all love to sing and celebrate the Lord during times of worship. I extend to you an invitation to come and join us at Friendship on a Sunday, Wednesday, or both! You will find yourself among people who are gracious and genuinely interested in getting to know you. On Sunday mornings, we have a Sunday School class that is appropriate for every member of the family. We provide a staffed nursery for each service and a Children’s Worship time during the Sunday Morning services. On Sunday evening, we gather for worship in the Sanctuary while our children (6th grade and under) are taught in a discipleship class. Each Wednesday night, we gather for singing, prayer, and Bible study with classes for adults, youth (7th-2th grades) and children (6th grade and under). If I or a member of our Church Family may be of assistance to you or your family, please send us an email to ministry@fmbc.church, message us on Facebook, or call and leave a message on 501-581-8580. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Man's Greatest Need

According to the Bible, every person born into this world is a sinner. Simply stated, that means we have all violated God’s Word. This is a fact.

“... For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

As true in any situation, there are very real consequences to our actions.

“For the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23)

Death is separation from life. This is precisely how people who live their lives apart from God exist. To remedy that situation, Jesus said:

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘you must be born again.’” (John 3:6-7)

And how can one be “Born again?” Jesus answered this by saying:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

By admitting your guilt to God and, in faith, accepting the gift of God — the death of Jesus for your sins — you, too, may have “everlasting life.”

The Great Commandment

Jesus made clear His expectation for those who follow Him.

"Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'" — (Matthew 22:37-39)

Who We Are

At Friendship Baptist Church, we are a local church made up of imperfect people who are committed to pursuing a personal relationship with God. We come from all walks of life: from farmers, to factory workers, to business owners, to retired people — what has brought us all together is our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In our relationship with God, here are two guiding principles that Jesus declared to be the responsibility of all who follow Him.

The Great Commission

Jesus also made clear His desire for the local church:

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age, Amen." — (Matthew 28:19-20)

Why We Are Here

With the conviction that we have been placed here by God to love and serve our community, we offer the following opportunities for spiritual growth and service:

  • Worship

Worship is the way in which we express our faith in the Lord. Through the singing of hymns and songs and the study of God's Word, we offer praise to our Lord. we meet each Sunday and Wednesday for corporate worship.

  • Discipleship

We emphasize discipleship from Sunday School classes for each member of the family, discipleship classes for children on Sunday evening as well as opportunities for biblical learning on Wednesday nights.

  • Women's Missionary Auxiliary

A mission-minded group of Friendship Ladies meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Church at 6:00 p.m. for Bible Study and Fellowship. All ladies are encouraged to join in each month.

  • Clothes Closet Ministry

On the 3rd Saturday of every month, we are "Open for Business" as we provide gently used clothing to our neighbors absolutely free of charge! with the motto, "If I won’t wear it, I won't share it", our guests find great clothing for every member of the family.
